Clean Sky: call news

05/12/2016
The 5th Call for Proposals and the 4th Call for Core Partners are now open and will close on 9 March 2017

There are two types of calls under Clean Sky 2:

  • Calls for Core Partners – selection of long-term partners expected to make a substantial commitment to Clean Sky 2 and its programme activities. Core Partners are officially Members of the Clean Sky Joint Undertaking.
  • Calls for Proposals – addressed to entities interested in participating as Partners in individual projects within Clean Sky 2 on a short-term contractual basis and with relevant expertise to offer.

Call for Core Partners

The 4th Call for Core Partners is published since 1 December 2016 and will remain open until 9 March 2017. The final list of topics and topic descriptions and all call background documents are now accessible via the Participant Portal of the European Commission. All applicants are recommended to navigate to the portal to access the relevant information: click here.

Core Partners have a unique status within the hierarchy of the Clean Sky ecosystem. These are partners that are committed to substantial and long-term commitment to Clean Sky's vision.

A Call for Core Partners - which, once appointed, become official Members of the Clean Sky Joint Undertaking - is the rigorous process of selecting these significant partners.

Calls for Proposals

The 5th Call for Proposals is published since 1 December 2016 and will remain open until 9 March 2017. The final list of topics and topic descriptions and all call background documents are now accessible via the Participant Portal of the European Commission. All applicants are recommended to navigate to the portal to access the relevant information: click here.

Partners are selected through open Calls for Proposals (CfPs), which are proposed by the Steering Committee of each Technology Platform and reviewed by the JU staff and the European Commission.

CfPs are then published, applications are received and evaluated, and partners are selected based on six key criteria:

  • relevance
  • technical excellence
  • cost
  • value for money
  • timetable
  • quality

Once appointed, partners proceed with their projects within an agreed timeframe and budget.
