The METS2018 conference and trade show will take place for the first time in Madrid on 10th-12th April 2018 and will feature speakers who are at the forefront of the non-energy extractive industry. These individuals will include experts in fields such as technology, consulting services, infrastructure, investment, trade, training and skills, health and safety, good governance and other relevant areas of the mining value chain.
ZABALA is coordinating the development of the “Mineral Development Network Platform” (MDNP), of which the METS conference is a key part of, with three other international organizations from Germany and Belgium (Projekt-Consult GmbH, Euromines AISBL and DMT GmbH & Co. KG). MDNP is a digital networking platform to promote cooperation within the non-energy extractive industry sector between the European Member States and Latin America.
As ZABALA´s lead coordinator for the MDNP development Esther Murillo, said during the EU Latin-America Dialogue on Raw Materials : “The MDNP is the materialised continuation of the EU-Latin America Dialogues held so far. The aim of this platform is to bring together, building on existing multilateral cooperation, all relevant stakeholders from entities and disciplines linked to the non-energy extractive industries in the EU and the participating LatAm countries. The MDNP platform will thereby support a continuous and structured cooperation between the EU and Latin America, reinforcing the dialogue, promoting cutting edge technologies, strengthening business, institutional and academic ties and opening new business prospects, thus leading to win-win situations between the two strategic partners.”
The METS trade show will be a dynamic exhibition where partners can gather firsthand information and promote their technologies, companies and organizations.
Enterprise Europe Network with its Latin American Business Cooperation Centres (from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Mexico and Paraguay) and the Sector Group Materials will be present and join the B2B event with their respective companies. Take the opportunity to meet and make business with them. http://een.ec.europa.eu/
