ZABALA Innovation Consulting has organized the European Innovation Partnership on Smart Cities and Communities - EIP SCC Market Place at the Smart City Expo World Congress (# SCEWC16), the most important exhibition in the world, taking place in Barcelona from 15 to 17 November. ZABALA coordinates the international consortium that serves the European Commission in the management of the EIP-SCC Market Place.
Just a few days left for the Smart Cities Expo World Congress, taking place in Barcelona (Spain) next week (15th – 17th November 2016). If you are planning to attend this major smart cities event, do not hesitate to visit the stand that EIP-SCC Market Place will share with other smart cities projects and join our presentations. Representatives of the European Innovation Partnership on Smart Cities and Communities and partners of the Horizon 2020 lighthouse projects GrowSmarter, REMOURBAN, Triangulum, REPLICATE, Sharing Cities, and SmartEnCity, as well as the supporting actions CITYkeys, ESPRESSO and Green Digital Charter (GDC) will be pleased to answer your questions and showcase their achievements in building a strong community of smart cities in Europe.
Moreover, the Smart City Expo World Congress will also serve as a scenario for different fringe workshops, some of them organised by members of the EIP-SCC Market Place and its Action Clusters and Initiatives:
- Wokshop on ‘Urban Platforms: From Joint Requirements to Standards’ (16th November), organised by the EIP-SCC Initiative on Urban Platforms and let by Graham Colclough, chair of the Integrated Infrastructures and Processes Action Cluster.
- Workshop on ‘Accelerating Urban Transition: Tapping the Full Potential of Smart City and Community Pilots’ (16th November), organised by JPI Urban Europe, where Margit Noll, chair of the EIP-SCC Initiative on Scaling up and Replication of Smart City Plans, will give the opening speech.
Specifically, the ZABALA Innovation Consulting team will carry out the following interventions:
- Tuesday, November 15 - 1:30 pm - Co-Creating Smart Cities - Ainhoa Quina (member of the Citizen Focus action cluster).
- Thursday 17 November - 12:30 pm - The Funding Tool for Smart Cities by EIP-SCC Market Place - Juan Cristobal García Soriano.
Juan Cristóbal García will also speak on Wednesday, November 16 at 5 pm in the sessions organized by SCIS, Smarter Together and EERA, presenting "The Funding Tool for Smart Cities by EIP-SCC Market Place", the online tool developed jointly by ZABALA and EUROCITIES to enable cities, companies, associations or research centers to have a quick view of the financing tools available to them for their actions.
