Dominique Ristori, General Director for Energy in the European Commission, will attend Zabala’s 30th  anniversary celebrations
ZABALA Innovation Consulting is celebrating its 3rd decade in Brussels with the participation of Dominique Ristori, leading player in the common European energy policy, on the 12th April 2016. The Official Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg will present José María Zabala with an award in recognition of his entrepreneurship.

Brussels will be the next stop for the 3rd decade celebrations. Guests range from clients to representatives of diverse institutions (personal invitation  will be needed to attend the event). Dominique Ristori, General Director for Energy in the European Commission confirmed his participation. This audience reflects the intense European activities of ZABALA Innovation Consulting both for their clients and their own projects including the ETP Smartgrids Secretariat  (Smartgrids), The EIP Market Place Smartcities Secretariat  (Market Place of the EIP on Smart Cities and Communities) and other SmartCities related projets such as Replicate, Sinfonia and Eugugle.

The Official Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg will present an award to José María Zabala, chairman and founder of Zabala Innovation Consulting, in recognition for his his entrepreneurship.

This celebration will take place on the 12th April 2016 at 18:30 in the Hotel Sofitel Brussels Europe (Place Jourdan 1, 1040 Bruxelles). Juan Rodríguez-Villa Matons, chairman of the Official Chamber of Commerce of Belgium and Luxembourg, will give a welcome speech before handing over to  Dominique Ristori. the director General for Energy in the European Commission for the award presentation to José María Zabala.

Brussels as a strategic location

ZABALA has been based in Brussels since 2003. This strategic location demonstrates the international scope of the Company. ZABALA managed to be involved in 12 European FP7 projects or activities, leading 4 of them.  During the Seventh Framework Programme, Zabala obtained €500 million grants for their customers, not only representing 1% of the total Programme budget, but also corresponding to a 34% success rate in terms of project approvals, against a European average which was set at 14%. In the last ten years, Zabala has achieved €700 million of grants for their clients in sectors as diverse as clean energy, energy efficiency, smart cities, ICT, biotechnology and so on and so forth.

With more than 1,500 clients, including private enterprises, research institutions and public entities, ZABALA Innovation Consulting brings together 200+experienced consultants located internationally. Zabala specialises in assisting clients with access to grant funding from a number of public authorities.

Zabala’s philosophy is to follow the needs of our clients. Therefore the company services and locations are expanding to cater for that need.

On one hand, new offices are being created including in Paris which is a key recent location for the firm.  This strategic opening in the French capital substantiates the other offices of Zabala in Brussels, London, Barcelona, Madrid, Sevilla, Vigo, Valencia and Pamplona (headquarters) and will aim to work hand in hand with these offices to continue to widen the scope of our geographical reach.

On the other hand, ZABALA now assists many international corporations in the preparation and management of their R&D+I strategies, and has recently broadened that service offering to include social innovation to help clients understand its far reaching positive implications on their social responsibility plans of action.
