The next March 7th, 2018 an event will be celebrated in Brussels about the Communication and Engagement in Future and Emerging Technologies.

The main objective is making a wide variety of actors (researchers, industry, policy makers, civil society organisations, citizens) aware on how important the FET Programme is for the European society of tomorrow.

The workshop it’s organised by the EFFECT project, in cooperation with the European Parliament’s ITRE Committee and European Commission’s DG CONNECT. The EFFECT project is funded by the HORIZON 2020 FET-Open program and his key mission will be to foster a public understanding of how research is actually needed to generate innovation which society will one day benefit from.

The event will present FET actions as a catalyst for disruptive research and a basis for radical innovations.

Taking place in a defining moment for the future of EU Research and Innovation policies, the event will trigger the debate on the relevance of breakthrough innovation and on related supporting measures capable to position Europe as a main player on the global scientific scene.
