ATELIER`s challenge is to realize Positive Energy Districts in Amsterdam and Bilbao that together will save 1,7 kton of CO2 emissions, demonstrate the integrated smart urban (technical, financial, legal, social) solutions that support the deployment of PEDs, and support the replication of these solutions in 6 fellow cities.
ATELIER will showcase innovative solutions that integrate buildings with smart mobility and technologies to create rather than consume energy in its two Lighthouse Cities Amsterdam (Netherlands) and Bilbao (Spain), that will adopt the PED Innovation approach as the core of the urban transition pathway for this two cities, as well as for the fellow cities. ATELIER is aimed at contributing to the improvement of the environmental impact and well-being of citizens.
