01
The Challenge:

There is a widespread lack of awareness of the potential benefits of data-driven innovation, particularly among SMEs. The large consumer online platforms have shown that data is an asset that directly translates to value, and this value can be multiplied by fusing data shared among stakeholders in a value chain. However, this creation of value which makes possible the Data Economy is profiting today only the so-called GAFAM empire organisations, particularly in B2C scenarios. However, there is ample scope for Europe, there is no standardised digital platform controlling the B2B market.

Greater awareness of successful business cases would give a boost to take-up growth.

02
Solutions:
REACH aims to accelerate data-driven innovation in Europe, towards the vision of the Common European Data Space and European Data Market. The main objective is to launch a sustainable European-wide second-generation incubator for data-driven start-ups and SMEs. The project will welcome 100+ business ideas from SMEs and select among them 30 solid business cases based on data-driven innovation with the aim of launching new data-fuelled products and services to the market, leveraged by the capacities of the best data-driven DIHs in Europe. The final aim is to demonstrate that Data Silos can be broken by enabling a multi-stakeholder cross-sectorial incubator to boost data-fuelled sustainable solutions.
03
Impacts:

REACH will support the generation of new data-fuelled products & services, drive the development of solid businesses, trigger revenue growth and foster the access to new funding rounds, by offering a full service pack consisted of: tech-training and experts, datasets, technological bricks for secure and trusted data value chains, computing infrastructures, business development training & coaches and up to €120k equity-free funding.

REACH will not only connect data corporations with European innovators, but it will also engage Digital Innovation Hubs in the conception of high potential data value-chains and value-added services. 3 open calls for startups/SMEs are planned to be launched, being Zabala the partner coordinating and managing them.
