
URBAN KLIMA 2050
LIFE Integrated Urban Klima 2050 is considered the largest climate action project in the Basque Country for the next few years and aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions data by 40% by 2030 and the 80% by 2050.
This project has received funding from the European Union’s LIFE Programme.

Urban Klima 2050 has set the main objective in reducing greenhouse gas emissions data by 40% by 2030 and 80% by 2050. It also proposes actions encompassing both adaptation and mitigation, meant to radically improve the resilience of the Spanish region of Basque Country to Climate Change.
Urban Klima 2050 will transform the Basque territory by coordinating a total of 40 projects and actions of adaptation to climate change in the six years of its duration. It will also facilitate the effective deployment of the Basque Country's Climate Change Strategy.
