01
The Challenge:

Urban Klima 2050 has set the main objective in reducing greenhouse gas emissions data by 40% by 2030 and 80% by 2050. It also proposes actions encompassing both adaptation and mitigation, meant to radically improve the resilience of the Spanish region of Basque Country to Climate Change.

02
Solutions:
Urban Klima 2050 will build transversal actions to integrate different resilience tools in cities and villages. It will make the administration an example in the fight against climate change. It will carry out innovative actions applicable in the sectors of interest. It will generate knowledge in order to incorporate it in decision making. Create participation processes to co-design solutions with key agents and with the citizenry and achieve the empowerment of the citizenry to achieve a lasting commitment to the environment.
03
Impacts:

Urban Klima 2050 will transform the Basque territory by coordinating a total of 40 projects and actions of adaptation to climate change in the six years of its duration. It will also facilitate the effective deployment of the Basque Country's Climate Change Strategy.
