Iñaki Armendariz

Iñaki Armendáriz is an electrical engineer with a solid academic background and professional experience in engineering, innovation, and technological project management. He graduated in Electrical Engineering from the Public University of Navarre and complemented his career with two master’s degrees. The first, in Design Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, specialised in processes and tools for innovation in projects and products. The second master’s degree, completed at the International University of La Rioja, focused on the Design and Management of Technological Projects, covering methodologies such as PMI and Scrum, as well as the implementation of R&D&I programmes at national and international levels.

His professional career has been closely tied to the industrial sector, where he has held roles in product engineering, manufacturing, design, and project management across diverse industries, such as renewable energy, refrigeration, and ceramics. He currently works as a consultant in the management of European R&D&I projects, where he analyses opportunities for clients and collaborates in preparing proposals for programmes such as Horizon Europe and other national and international frameworks within the European Union.

In the field of digital knowledge, Iñaki specialises in calls related to Cluster 4 – Digital of Horizon Europe, CEF Digital, and Chips Ju, among others. Notably, he participated as a co-coordinator of a work package in the REACH project (EuRopEAn incubator for trusted and secure data value Chains). In this project, where Zabala Innovation participated as a partner, he played a key role in managing and incubating innovative projects in the field of digital entrepreneurship and the data economy.
