European Communication Projects Manager
Brussels OfficeSusana Garayoa graduated with a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the University of Navarra (2000) and has completed postgraduate studies in Corporate Communication, Public Relations and Digital Marketing from the ESIC Marketing and Business School. Since then, she has become a journalist, specialised in Science and Innovation. She has worked in Corporate Communication for more than 16 years for the Government of Navarra (Departments of Industry and Environment) and at Zabala Innovation since 2014. She has also worked as a journalist and political correspondent for the news agency, Europa Press, and the Spanish broadcasting company, Antena 3 Televisión. She currently leads Zabala Innovation’s Europe-wide communication team and designs and manages dissemination and communication strategies for European projects and international tenders. This work is mainly focused on European initiatives in the fields of energy transition, the start-up ecosystem, and social innovation, where her main role is acting as communication director and advisor. She also combines this position with the academic world, as associate professor of Science Journalism and Environmental Communication at the prestigious University of Navarra.
