AREA KNOWLEDGE LEADERS
Here we present the fourth chapter in the series of videos featuring ZABALA's knowledge area leaders. Today we present Sara Mateo, leader of the Entrepreneurship area, who offers her help to teams of entrepreneurs or researchers to bring their ideas to the market
From the entrepreneurship area of ZABALA Innovation, Sara Mateo, on behalf of her team, presents how they can help groups of entrepreneurs and researchers to identify the grants that best suit the projects and define the best exploitation plan.
The daily work is carried out to cover two priorities of the European Commission. On the one hand, they support the most innovative and disruptive ideas to reach the market, through grants managed by the European Innovation Council. They also support entrepreneurs and small businesses on their journey, with grants offering large subsidies to companies or mobilising private capital.
Start-ups and small newly created companies are the backbones of the European economy. They represent 99% of all companies in the EU. But in contrast, the number of unicorns (private companies worth more than $1 billion) in Europe still lags far behind the US and China. That’s why our Entrepreneurship team offers the keys to help these players on the road to success.
Watch out for our next chapters! Next week you can meet Margherita Volpe, leader of ZABALA Innovation’s Security and Space area.
