In today's chapter, we present Sergio Úbeda, leader of the Transport area, who talks about its importance in all the areas of the company due to its multidisciplinary nature.

Transport is a world with a wide range of possibilities: from road transport to air, rail and maritime transport, among others. At Zabala Innovation we cover all of them, as well as working with other related cross-cutting issues such as physical and digital infrastructures, urban mobility, logistics, security, and environmental impact.

In addition, our Transport area, led by Sergio Úbeda, has a multidisciplinary nature and deploys numerous synergies with other areas of the organisation, such as Energy, Digitalisation, or Social Innovation, because of the purpose of transport is to provide service to people.

One of these synergies can be seen in our latest results in the Horizon Europe Batteries call for proposals, financing battery projects mainly for electric vehicles. At Zabala Innovation we managed to approve 71% of the projects presented in the call and around 33 million euros for our clients.
