The EU Regions Week will be held from 7 to 10 October 2019 in Brussels and ZABALA Innovation Consulting will play an active role in the #ideas4EU Hackathon.

The European Week of Regions and Cities 2019 (#EURegionsweek), jointly organised by the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) and the Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO), will be held from 7 to 10 October 2019 in Brussels with the slogan “Regions and Cities: Pillars of the EU’s Future”.
Held annually in Brussels, the event gives regional and local government officials, experts and academics, the opportunity to share good practices and expertise in regional and urban development. These include their ability to generate growth and jobs, implement EU cohesion policies, and test the importance of regions and cities in the EU policy process.
The programme offers more than 300 sessions, including workshops, discussions, speeches, exhibitions and social events related to regional and local development.
ZABALA at #ideas4EU Hackathon
The Hackathon #ideas4EU of the EU Regions consists of a single challenge: approaching citizens, creating a new vision, business model or business concept through open data to interact with EU citizens.
The result will be a new original mobile or web application, visualisation or demonstration of the application of data science, by linking data sets to generate new knowledge and engagement.
The selected projects, including a ZABALA Innovation Consulting project, will present their proposals during the four days of the European Week of Regions and Cities in October 2019. The event is the largest meeting of government representatives and public investors in Europe. The team will have the opportunity to approach and present its solution to the 7 000 participants, ranging from fast-growing startups to entrepreneurs and private investors from the global technology industry.
