Innovation Scoreboard 2020: Europe outperforms the US, but stays behind South Korea, Australia and Japan

The 2019 call for funding H2020 energy efficiency projects will close on 3 September. In addition, Brussels just hosted the #H2020Energy Info Days from 25 to 27 June.

With a budget of 112 million euros, the H2020 ENERGY grants provide funding for innovation in projects on Safe, Clean and Efficient Energy.
Thus, on the one hand, it finances research and demonstration of energy-efficient technologies and solutions, and on the other hand, the adoption of steps to eliminate market barriers by funding, regulating and improving skills and knowledge, focusing on five main areas: Building, Industry, Finance, Public Administrations and support for consumer policies and Services.
The European Commission’s Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) will keep the deadline for submission of proposals open until 3 September, which means that now is the right time to work on these proposals.
The Horizon 2020 Energy Info Days (#H2020Energy Info Days) were held in Brussels from 25 to 27 June.
This meeting provided details on the latest Work Programme (WP) for a Safe, Clean and Efficient Energy, which will be published on 2 July 2019. This WP has two areas of intervention: “Buildings in Energy Transition” (B4E) and “Intelligent and Clean Energy for Consumers” (EC) and brings together 18 themes focused on energy efficiency as the backbone of the energy transition, supporting the adoption of sustainable energy solutions in all areas.
