Developed by ZABALA, Kaila is the first smart platform focused on the identification and interconnection of the different innovation actors in Europe. After its launch last year, the platform has managed to grow a valuable community made up of end-users such as entrepreneurs, innovative companies, researchers, institutions and organisations. Kaila can help all kinds of entities to identify partners for their projects and apply for grants from the Next Generation EU funds, especially now that the new HORIZON EUROPE Framework Programme for the period 2021-2027 is taking off.

For those who are not yet familiar with the platform, Kaila shows how European agents are innovating, with whom they collaborate, on what topics they innovate, what funds they obtain and what opportunities for financing exists in the future for each technology or sector.

On the 11th of February 2021, The European Association of Development Agencies, EURADA, which brings together people working in economic development through a network of 69 members in 22 countries in the European Union and beyond, organised a workshop together with ZABALA. They offered the possibility to attend a special demo where Kaila was demonstrated. It was shown how smart searches can be performed to identify partners for innovation projects.

In the first section of the event, the attendees received a brief explanation of the tool and the services that the platform can provide. After this, the attendees spoke about their experiences using the platform and their opinions of Kaila. In the second part of the event, a practical demonstration of KAILA allowed the attendees to understand the platform and its usability. Finally, the presenters answered questions by the attendees.
