EBDVF: next meeting point for ZABALA and the startup ecosystem

Artificial Intelligence and Big Data are transforming business and society, and that’s what you will find on the European Big Data Value Forum. EBDVF is the main occasion of the European Big Data and Data-Driven AI Research and Innovation community. In 2017 the Big Data Value Association (BDVA) and the European Commission (DG CONNECT) joined forces to create this event fusion of the former EDF (European Data Forum) and the BDVA Summit.

This great meeting point starts in Helsinki, 14 – 16 October, and the organization has work hard to present the best possible programme. It is easy to believe this seeing their featured speakers: Roberto Viola (Director-General, DG Connect), Risto Siilasmaa (Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nokia), Norbert Gaus (Executive Vice-President of Siemens), Katri Kulmuni (Minister of Economic Affairs of Finland), Antti Vasara (President & CEO of VTT) and Oded Cohn (Vice President of IBM Research – Haifa).

The organising committee of this event includes, in addition to BDVA, the EC and VTT, multiple Finnish industrial, Innovation and Research players as well as international companies and other research institutions.

The program is in a continuous update; from panels and keynotes about the future in AI to several parallel sessions focus on different topics as Trustworthy AI, Data-driven Bioeconomy, AI in everyday Mobility and Logistics, Emerging technologies, Public sector, Smart cities, among others.
