SMARTSPEND project aims for more and better designed public support for energy technology Research & Innovation
EUHubs4Data
The Europe's leading federation for cross-border Big Data innovation is offering up to €60,000 of financial contribution per beneficiary

The EUHubs4Data project launched on 7 September its third and final open call which will run until 9 November 2022. EUHubs4Data aims to foster innovation by supporting SMEs and start-ups on their way to data-driven innovation. Have you been working on an innovative service or product with potential for development based on Big Data, but do not have enough resources to develop it? Are you trying to improve one of your products or services?
If the answer is yes, you are the perfect candidate for the third EuHubs4Data call.
SMEs, start-ups and web entrepreneurs.
The project invites all interested parties to submit their experiments, which make use of the EUHubs4Data federated catalogue of services and datasets for the development of innovative products or advanced services.
Funding, expertise and support.
The call will award funding to 18 experiments, with a total budget of €1.08 M. See the ‘Guidelines for applicants’ for the conditions.
The selected experiments will receive financial and technical support. The financial support consists of a grant of up to €60,000 for each beneficiary.
Technical support is provided by the Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs) in the use of the federated services which are valued at up to €70,000.
These experiments can focus on different sectors of economic and societal value for Europe (e.g. Health, Manufacturing, Agri-Food, Climate, Mobility, Energy) and will help applicants to test their service offer and the sustainability of their business ideas.
In the last two editions, the calls funded 24 projects that, taking advantage of the EUH4D catalogue and the expertise provided by the DIHs, fostered innovation in different research areas.
Look at which SMEs have been selected in the previous call.
Save the date for the next information session on 25 October.
To guide you through the call process and answer your questions, EUH4D offers two information sessions on the call, its eligibility, how to participate and much more.
– First information session – 19 September. See the presentation here.
– Second information session – 25 October, 11:00 AM CET. Register here.
You can also visit the FAQ section where you will find answers to questions such as: what information to fill in, when you will receive the funding, how a good team looks like, among others.
After the success of the two previous open call, EUHubs4Data is looking for new candidates to offer advice and the necessary funding to develop their projects.
