REACH PROJECT
Reach incubator offers opportunities for startups and SMEs working with Big Data
Zabala Innovation participates in the incubation programme, whose third call for applications for up to 120,000 euros is now open
The forum HYDROPOWER EUROPE, built on the ambition to achieve a research and innovation agenda and a strategic industry roadmap for the hydropower sector, has launched the 2nd wider Stakeholder Consultation.

The aim of the Horizon 2020 project, HYDROPOWER EUROPE, is to provide a focal point for reviewing and developing hydropower in Europe, and subsequently European hydropower in the wider world. To do so, the forum hosts a range of consultations. The main focus of the consultation is to gather feedback from a wide range of hydropower stakeholders on the proposed research and innovation actions. Feedback from a series of online consultation, regional and technical workshops is combined with expert analysis to support the development of the HYDROPOWER EUROPE’s Research & Innovation Agenda (RIA) and Strategic Industry Roadmap (SIR).
After successful initial rounds of technical workshops, the second stakeholder online consultation is now open. It is one of the last opportunities for stakeholders to provide feedback and recommendations about the main R&I priorities for the future of hydropower in Europe and about how hydropower can contribute to a successful clean energy transition. The consultation process will close at the end of October 2020. The consultation consists of an online 20-minute long survey.

Apart from HYDROPOWER EUROPE, ZABALA is involved in another hydropower project named XFLEX hydro which aims to demonstrate how modern hydroelectric power plants can provide the vital grid services required by variable renewable energies, such as wind and solar energy.
