The Next Generation Internet Explorers Programme launches technology expeditions to the United States!

NGI Explorers

The NGI Explorers Programme supports EU top researchers and innovators in understanding US different perspectives, vision, values and technology approaches to catalyze the impact of their “made in Europe” disruptive ideas, Next Generation Internet concepts or product-oriented research activities.

Top researchers and innovators

The 3rd Open Call is now open for high profile internet researchers and innovators including startups, SMEs, mid-caps, research centres or academia from all over Europe, H2020 associated countries and OCT countries. The programme is dedicated to the innovators who work in NGI focus areas: AI, blockchain, big data, internet of things, 5G, cybersecurity or cloud/edge computing. This programme supports individuals, not teams.

The fellowship in the USA

Selected applicants, aka Explorers, will get on board a 3-month or 5-month immersive experience in the USA, 100% sponsored  (travel and subsistence costs) to gain the skills and build the networks that will catalyze the success of their ambitious ideas fuelled by the Next Generation Internet. The selected Explorers will receive up to EUR 15,345 for a 3-month Expedition, and up to EUR 25,575 for a 5-month Expedition.

Moreover, free mentorship support will be provided while in the US as well as a network of 35+ US Nodes, although Explorers can bring their own partner. The Explorers will also get access to Europe’s most powerful network of the Next Generation Internet.

About NGI Explorers

NGI Explorers is a program launching Europe’s best Internet talent into expeditions to the US. It provides the means that will support EU Explorers – top researchers and innovators – to gain the skills, build the networks and find the sustainability necessary to catalyze the impact of their “made in Europe” disruptive ideas, Next Generation Internet concepts or product-oriented research activities. The Program will invest US$ 1+M to spur 50+ top-notch European Explorers. The Consortium is run by a team of 3 partners, including ZABALA Innovation Consulting.
