Clara de la Torre, Deputy Director General of DG CLIMA and Nicolás González Casares, MEP from the ITRE committee will participate in the event organised by the Spanish Official Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg in collaboration with ZABALA

Next Thursday, 16th of July, from 9:15 am to 10:15 am the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg, with the collaboration of Zabala Innovation Consulting, will hold a breakfast-debate session. Clara de la Torre, Deputy Director General of DG CLIMA and Nicolás González Casares, MEP of the ITRE Commission and shadow rapporteur of the European Climate Law, will participate in the session and will talk about “Green Deal: Towards a carbon neutral economy for Europe”.
The European Green Deal is a roadmap to reduce net CO2 emissions to zero by 2050. This strategy aims to lay the foundations for a cleaner, healthier, greener and more sustainable Europe that will help radically transform the continent’s economic model.
In the breakfast-debate they will talk about the roadmap and programmes established by the European Commission, as well as the role of research and innovation, the relationship with stakeholders and the legislative proposal by the European Parliament.
This is a platform whose purpose is to facilitate dialogue between Spanish companies and representatives of the European Institutions. Participants in these events will have the opportunity to convey their proposals and concerns to the speakers. The breakfast will be held in Spanish.
