Ana Bascones

Ana Báscones is a journalist with a degree from the University of Navarra (Spain), specializing in project management, primarily in the cultural field.

Her career in the field of Communication began in 2016 at Diario de Navarra, where she worked on reports and news. She continued her journey at Action Against Hunger, where she was responsible for web and social media content, as well as the organization and coordination of events. During these early years of her professional career, she also worked in various agencies in London focusing on marketing and events.

She furthered her education with a Master’s Degree in Project Management for Leisure, Culture, Tourism, Sports, and Recreation and an Expertise in Cultural Audiences from the University of Deusto. Simultaneously, she worked on event organization and internal communication at Innevento Comunicaciones en Vivo.

In the cultural sector, she collaborated with the ZAWP project in developing an audience development strategy. Following that, from 2019 to 2022, she worked at the Directorate General of Culture of the Government of Navarra on activities related to the Cultural Strategic Plan of Navarra 2017-2023, the Navarrese Culture Observatory, and editing and proofreading books and magazines. Her most recent experience in 2022 was at the Science Culture Unit of the Public University of Navarra, where she coordinated and prepared the European Researchers’ Night as part of the European project “Go for the Missions!” (G9 Missions).

Currently, at Zabala Innovation, she leads communication and dissemination efforts for European projects in the bioeconomy sector.
