HUMAN RIGHTS IMPACT
Zabala developed a social management plan within the framework of the "Bayunca I Solar Plant" project to ensure the sustainability of the initiative in the short, medium and long term.
The objective of this project was to conduct a human rights impact study of the Bayunca solar project, propose a remediation and mitigation plan for negative impacts and carry out the social management of the Bayunca solar plant construction process.
A social management plan was developed by Zabala within the framework of the “Bayunca I Solar Plant” project, to ensure the short, medium and long-term sustainability of the initiative, complying with the highest international standards in corporate due diligence and respect for human rights. Recognising the conditions of vulnerable populations and incorporating their interests in the development of the project, through the application of the differential approach and collectively analysing the existing context conditions, allowed for the operation to be carried out, in accordance with principles of conduct.
Zabala Innovation supported the development of a ready-to-use toolkit to empower SMEs across the EU to conduct due diligence on their mineral supply chains.
In the final phase, ZABALA completed the detailed analysis of potential mechanisms, drew up the conclusions of the study and prepared a series of proposals to improve the existing mechanisms.
Zabala Innovation worked on monitoring regional R&I policies in Spain, within the RIM project.
