The .eu Web Awards is an online competition organised since 2014 by the European Registry of Internet Domains (EURID), with the aim of recognising the best websites with .eu, .ею and .ευ extensions.
Zabala Innovation has participated in previous editions with projects such as “Data Market Services” in 2020, being selected among the finalists.
In this edition, the projects submitted by Zabala are Spiomet4Health for “Laurels” category, aimed at websites dedicated to education or registered in a European project related to the educational field; and Senator for a “Better Word” category, for organisations and projects committed to environmental sustainability. Zabala Innovation participates as a partner, leading the Dissemination and Communication work packages for both projects.
In addition, Zabala Innovation is also present with the candidacy of its innovation ecosystem Kaila, an online platform that facilitates access to information and funding opportunities for thousands of European innovators.
The .eu Web Awards will reward the six winning projects with a marketing campaign worth €5,000 to be implemented in collaboration with EURid, a web management course, and an official certificate to identify their website and social media profiles.
The winners will be selected by the jury from the 18 shortlisted projects, which will be announced on 1 September. The finalist will have the opportunity to attend the awards ceremony where the six winners, one for each category, will be revealed. The ceremony will take place on 17 November 2022 in Mechelen, Belgium.
SPIOME4THEALTH: is a European project coordinated by Fundació Sant Joan de Déu/ Hospital Sant Joan de Déu together with 16 other organisations. The project aims to provide a novel treatment for adolescent girls and young adult women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. PCOS negatively affects the health and quality of life of approximately 110 million women. It has an impact on the emotional, physical, social functioning and behaviour, and on family-related activities.
Senator: aims to create a new urban logistic model for enhancing the sustainability of cities. For this purpose, the project has developed a smart network operator, as a control tower supported on an ICT Platform that will work as a support tool for decision making, integration and planning of all logistics operations. In consequence, it will minimize the negative impacts that this distribution causes in the cities.
Kaila: is a platform that understands the exact needs of its users and offers them tailor-made solutions. In this way, it allows them to obtain funding for projects, analyse innovation trends, carry out competitive monitoring and find partners and collaborators.
For the winners selection, the jury – made up of Maria Rosa Gibellini, Roman Kabelka, Stefan Kolle, João Pedro Martins, and Philippe Vercamer – will choose from the three most voted projects in each category.
Our aim is KAILA, SPIOMET4HEALTH and SENATOR being one of the six selected projects.
You can vote for them before you go on holiday. Voting deadline is 17 August.
