The accelerator DAPSI, the incubator REACH, and EUHubs4Data, all managed by ZABALA, launch Open Calls offering innovation opportunities in data portability, big data, and data-driven services.

The accelerator coordinated by ZABALA, DAPSI will support top-notch projects through a 9-month supporting programme where experts in diverse fields will provide a successful working methodology, access to top infrastructure, training in business and data related topics, coaching, mentoring, and a vibrant ecosystem. On top of that, each DAPSI project can receive grants up to €150k.
DAPSI is a programme focused on funding initiatives that support the right to data portability, one of the priorities of the European Commission. SMEs, startups, research centres, universities and individuals are eligible. It will support projects through a 9-month supporting programme where experts in diverse fields will provide a successful working methodology, access to top infrastructure, training in business and data related topics, coaching, mentoring, and a vibrant ecosystem. On top of that, each DAPSI project can receive grants up to €150k.
The Data Portability and Services Incubator (DAPSI) recently launched its second Open Call to distribute €2.1 million to internet innovators, empowering them to develop new solutions in the Data Portability field.
REACH is an incubation programme run by 10 core partners, among which is ZABALA and 9 data providers. It will create a fertile ground for startups and SMEs to solve real-world challenges of large corporations and conduct experimentation of secured and trusted data-fuelled solutions which utilize proprietary, often multi-stakeholder, industrial and personal data.
There is a widespread lack of awareness of the potential benefits of data-driven innovation, particularly among SMEs. REACH aims to launch a sustainable European-wide second-generation incubator for data-driven start-ups & SMEs aiming to develop innovative experiments within data value chains. REACH will not only connect data corporations with European innovators, but it will also engage Digital Innovation Hubs in the conception of high potential data value-chains and value-added services. Join the REACH Incubator to get up to €120K, and opportunity to work with leading corporations and their proprietary data.
The REACH Incubator has a €3.5 million fund to foster the creation of data value chains across Europe and is looking for 30 promising big data startups and SMEs to take part in its first round of incubation. The call is now open.
The EC funded EUHubs4Data project has allocated €5.8 million to provide support to third parties to undertake up a set of data-driven cross-border experiments through three rounds of open calls.
In its first open call, the project is inviting SMEs (including start-ups) and groups of web entrepreneurs to propose experiments that make use of the EUHubs4Data federated catalogue of data-driven services and datasets for the development of innovative products or advanced services. The Open Call provides access to the latest developments on Data Analytics and advanced assets on Big Data, technical & business coaching and continuous follow-up support by Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs) valued up to €70k per experiment, €60k financial support, visibility and promotion as well as the exploitation plan.

Zabala Innovation assists private and public players in their search for and acquisition of public funding and has developed a methodology for accompanying and supporting national and European project coordinators.
Europe offers many opportunities to support and foster Research, Development and Innovation actions. Competition is high and being well positioned among stakeholders active in each sector requires a well thought-out plan of action and an active way of promoting visibility in Brussels.
To maximise the success and impact of a project, we manage the communication and dissemination activities, but we also define a social innovation strategy and tools to measure its impact.
