INNOVATION FUND
On 16 November we invite you to a unique webinar aimed at European companies in which we will offer all the latest information and tips for submitting a project to the Innovation Fund Large Scale call. Registration is now open, so don't miss out!

The second Innovation Fund call for large-scale European projects, with a budget of €1.5 billion, opened on 26 October. This funding programme is one of the largest in the world. With a budget of 20 billion, it aims is to bring innovative clean technology projects to the market, i.e. projects with low carbon emissions. In this way, the Innovation Fund helps to meet the commitments outlined in the European Green Pact to achieve a climate-neutral continent by 2050.
To better understand this programme, we have published a guide that you can download below.
To help you develop your project, on 16 November we would also like to invite you to a one-hour webinar in English for all European companies, in which our experts will provide you with the latest news on this call and the keys to achieve success in it. The agenda of the event will be completed by the presentation of a success story and the description of some high added value services provided by one of our partners. Register here:
The novelties of this second call for large-scale Innovation Fund projects will be explained by Leonardo Casado, senior R&D&I consultant in the European division and Head of Energy at ZABALA Innovation.
Ils Moorkens, senior researcher in smart energy, and Metin Bulut, business development manager for sustainable chemistry at VITO, an independent research organisation in the area of clean technologies and sustainable development and partner of ZABALA Innovation, will highlight how to add value to the project.
Ana Martínez, a researcher at Repsol Technology Lab, will present the milestones of SUN2HY, a small-scale project of the company SUNRGYZE (jointly created by REPSOL and ENAGÁS) funded through the Innovation Fund. It is the first deployment of a pre-commercial plant for hydrogen production based on photoelectrocatalytic technology.
The search for excellence in such a demanding call, where it is critical to demonstrate the innovative nature of the projects, is not easy. However, to support this search, we have Kaila, the platform for finding funding and partners for innovation, whose functionalities can help to carry out a more concrete analysis of the state of the art. Javier Morentin, CIO of ZABALA Innovation and product owner of Kaila, will be in charge of explaining its most important functionalities.
The last part of the webinar will be dedicated to resolving doubts and answering questions from the audience.

This guide will help you understand what each of the five major Missions for Europe is about
We provide advice to activities that encourage innovation, aimed at promoting the development of new innovative markets from the demand side, through public procurement.
To maximise the success and impact of a project, we manage the communication and dissemination activities, but we also define a social innovation strategy and tools to measure its impact.
Europe offers many opportunities to support and foster Research, Development and Innovation actions. Competition is high and being well positioned among stakeholders active in each sector requires a well thought-out plan of action and an active way of promoting visibility in Brussels.
