The LT_Observatory project (Observatory for Language Resources and Machine Translation in Europe), coordinated by Zabala Innovation, arises from the need for multilingual solutions for European companies and researchers. The objective is to eliminate language barriers to take advantage of the usefulness of content and data and thus avoid the loss of business opportunities.
The Digital Single Market will require the removal of many barriers, including language barriers. LT_Observatory wants to facilitate access to language resources to support the development of multilingual solutions to avoid fragmentation of the Digital Single Market.
To make language resources more usable by companies and researchers by proposing criteria and methodologies that enable both benchmarking and qualitative improvement and by defining a roadmap for the deployment of machine translation technologies for the future multilingual European landscape.
LT-Observatory online, a sustainable infrastructure that will optimise the use of linguistic resources.

This project has been financed by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme, under grant agreement No. 644583.

“Supporting the development of and access to both language resources and technologies will enable us to seize the business opportunities around multilingualism and achieve the Digital Single Market”
