Water4All2023 and BiodivNBS, two calls for proposals to strengthen environmental ecosystems
Pre-proposals to improve aquatic ecosystems and biodiversity can be submitted until mid-November
The European Technology and Innovation Platform Smart Networks for Energy Transition (ETIP SNET) was born in the framework of the European Union’s new integrated roadmap of the Strategic Energy Technology Plan (SET Plan) – Europe’s R&D Master Plan. The ETIP SNET’s objective is to drive and guide R&D&I for transmission and distribution systems and thus support Europe’s energy transition.
The work carried out by ETIP SNET is supported by the INTENSYS4EU project, through the H2020 Programme, and led by ZABALA Innovation Consulting. Aligned with the strategy of the European transition to a low carbon economy, promoting safe and efficient energy, the project had an overall budget of more than 4.3 million euros and ended in 2020.
Challenges
In recent years, European industry has developed technologies for the development of Smart Grids that are ready to be used at a large scale. To this end, strategic guidance is provided to stakeholders aimed at developing technologies that address future needs, as well as the knowledge of experts involved in the platform.
Solution
Innovate and envision the future of smart grids for Europe to remain an international leader in this field. SmartGrids ETP is a key player that promotes collaboration between regional, national and international actors to foster the development of visionary R&D policies, as well as establish strategies for cooperation and joint collaboration.
Results
Europe is a leader in the development of Smart Grids applications and technologies, having the most powerful companies worldwide. Their development can improve the competitiveness of the European Union, with the consequent creation of more industries and jobs, as well as address environmental and energy-related challenges.
Zabala Innovation worked on monitoring regional R&I policies in Spain, within the RIM project.
Zabala's role was crucial in supporting the leader in executing the interviews with the various stakeholders involved, designing the strategic workshops and analysing the information available mainly for Spain.
Zabala Innovation is one of six partners in the consortium driving the shared ambition to make Europe a major player in the global battery industry.
