AMable provides support for SMEs and mid-cap companies to adopt additive manufacturing solutions. Including technologies covering all materials, from plastics to polymers and metals, AMable offers services targeting any sector and additive manufacturing challenge.
AMable aims to remove barriers in the adoption of additive manufacturing (AM) related to lack of skilled human resources and lack of access to knowledge, equipment, infrastructure and markets, and thus enable the adoption of AM technologies by SMEs/midcaps leading to the development of new innovative products and services, as well as business models and new value chains in a fully digital environment.
AMable will provide the infrastructure to bring to life the ideas and business cases of SMEs and enterprises, as well as the teams that facilitate the adoption of AM technologies, making their innovations Additive Manufacturable (AMable). In addition, it will create an open source, living and adaptable AM ecosystem that can provide the necessary support and coordinate the development of synergies with the I4MS framework. All this will lead to the development of better AM data processing tools and approaches.
AMable will accelerate the adoption of additive manufacturing (AM) technologies. From design to manufacturing of functional parts, leading to innovative products and highly skilled personnel. Through this project, 50 SME application experiments and 150 business case evaluations will be carried out for these companies, 500 people will be trained through courses, over 2000 SMEs will be reached with training activities and specific support will be given to 13 EU countries.
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme, under grant agreement No. 768775.
“AMable will accelerate the adoption of additive manufacturing (AM) technologies. From design to manufacturing of functional parts, leading to innovative products and highly skilled personnel. ”
